Mal Gagnon was born in Vanguard, Saskatchewan and received
his formal art training at the Alberta College of Art in Calgary, Alberta.
Like many others, he was drawn to the magnetic attraction of the
Okanagan Valley. Famous for its breathtaking geography, natural resources, and moderate climate this British Columbia region has become one of the
most desirable areas in all of Canada.
His move to Kelowna and a shift from commercial art to fine art has proven
to be successful. Over the years his many colorful paintings have been
gracing the walls of business and residential clientele in the Okanagan
and West Kelowna regions and beyond.
His popular detailed painting style has led to multiple private and corporate
commissions among which include mining companies, golf clubs, financial
institutions, insurance companies, real estate, and wineries.
