Masala Chai Tea
What shifts a cup of Chai to being a Masala Chai? A world of aromatic spices like cinnamon, fennel, cardamom, anise star, cloves, ginger, coriander, and peppercorn. Serve brewed with water or milk, a couple of drops of honey or sugar, and a twirling cinnamon stick.
- Add half a mug (140ml) of boiling water (per person) to a pot and add one heaping tbs of Chai (per person).
- Low simmer for 5 min
- Add half a cup of milk (cow, nut, oat) per person and slowly heat until you can just see steam. The mixture should start to foam and rise, that's when you know it's ready!
- Strain and sweeten to taste.
